"Authentic Vietnamese stay with a touch of luxury.

If you are after an authentic Hoi An stay with a touch of luxury then this is the place! I stayed here for 8 nights with my two adult children and friend and we didn’t want to leave. Fantastic location with a family run business that really looks after you. The owner is also the chef and the breakfasts were a real highlight. We had a family room and my friend had a single room. The family room was very spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. My friend’s apartment had a separate kitchen/dining area. I don’t normally listen to local recommendation but Nguyên and Ly are locals who really know the best places to eat/shop/visit. No request is too much and they will go out of their way to make you have the best Hoi An experience. I have stayed here twice now and highly recommended! "

"This feels like it should be a secret it’s so good

Simply an amazing gem of a place that is hard to summarise in words or photos. We had a fantastic stay at this amazingly floral location by the river… it really does live up to its name! The garden of orchids surrounds the private and secluded pool area. From the top floor, 2-room mini apartment we had 360 views (and a river view to boot), 2 (!) bathrooms that feel semi indoor/outdoor and fabulous air-con. Breakfast was leisurely and with a great selection of fruits, juices, coffee, eggs… you name it. A special mention to Lee and Gwen who take pride in knowing all the great places to eat, drink, get massages, taxis and have a friendly team supporting the exceptional service we were shown. Handy bike loans meant when we felt like it, the busy town centre was a short ride, and even the beach didn’t seem too far a cycle. Would recommend this to all and everyone in a heartbeat. "Such a wonderful time in Hoi An

We'd really like to keep this lovely family run guesthouse our secret but it was recommended to us by a friend , we had such a great stay so we just have to tell you that if you book here you won't regret it. Nothing is too much trouble from the moment we were welcomed by the lovely Lee and all Phoung's family and staff.

We sat upstairs on the cozy verandah for our delicious and varied breakfasts with a lovely view of the river listening to the boats passing back and too.

Orchids and beautiful plants surround you in the grounds and round the pool area attracting butterflies, such a relaxing and peaceful oasis.

Great location halfway between Hoi An old town and the beaches, we used the free bikes nearly everyday, so much fun.

Lee was brilliant at organising taxis, day trips, massages and booking restaurants especially the night of the full moon so we had a special table with a view of the river.

The staff were super lovely to deal with and very accommodating of all of our needs. The food was absolutely delicious. We had breakfast every day and lunch when we first arrived. The beds were made beautifully each day and fresh towels were provided. The bike ride into old town took 5-15 minutes with cute restaurants along the way and a view of the river. The rooms were very clean as well as the pool. The whole family would highly recommend. Thank you for our stay! "

Walking distance to everything in Hoi A that you need, also giving you the option of bikes to use and scooters to hire. The rooms are gorgeous. Very clean and extremely big. The gardens surrounding the pool are so peaceful. All the staff are super friendly and really made our stay so much more comfortable. We will always go back to this villa. This place is perfect for visiting Hoi An. It’s on the river and a short cab ride or 25 min walk to Old Town. Lee and her team were the best hosts and helped us with everything from restaurant reservations to getting us taxis when we were stuck in Old Town. The villa rooms are spacious with separate sitting area and a beautiful pool in the courtyard. The breakfast there is amazing with fresh fruit and local cao lau dish…so good! Don’t hesitate to stay here if you need a place to stay while visiting Hoi An. They can help you with any tours or vendor recommendations (including how best to negotiate with them)."

"BEST place in Hoi An

Villa Orchid was the ABSOLUTE BEST place to stay. We had actually booked to stay somewhere else as we hadn't planned to be in Hoi An so long so we booked this place to stay first. In the end we cancelled our other hotel as this was the best place, and the staff were so lovely and kind.

Our room was perfect as we were 2 friends, so had 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms. It was incredibly comfortable and spacious, especially when I got sick, and was able to just chill out on my own.

Lee, one of the lovely staff there so very kindly made me a very healing ginger rice Konji,which she did out of the kindness of her heart.It was the best thing and so nourishing.I will never forget her kindness, and also all of her suggestions and recommendations.

Everyone was so lovely there that I would absolutely highly recommend to stay there.

It's quiet, away from the hustle and bustle,BUT a very short bicycle ride (which are free to use) into the centre.

I will definitely be back.

We stayed 3 nights at the Villa Orchid Garden Riverside. We had a comfortable room with a view of the river. The air conditioning worked. The best part is the personal service. We were assisted with airport transportation and tickets for the Hanoi A memories show. The food is also great. I especially enjoyed the pineapple pancake, and we also had very comforting pho after a long and wet day trip. We were treated with kindness and warmth. Highly recommend."

Super Unterkunft in HoiAn. Betreung vom Team, speziell Ngyuen war Top. Tips und organisieren der Shuttel war mega hilfreich. Zimmer sind gross, sind eher Appartments und vor der Zimmertür der super Pool. Zur City besser mit den Gratis-Leihrädern, aber auch zu Fuss machbar. Strand auch mit den Rädern gut zu erreichen. 6 ans auparavant, nous étions venus à l'Orchid Garden Villa sur la route de Cua Dai, dont la propriétaire est la même que l'Orchid Garden Riverside. Nous avions été enchantés de notre séjour et nous avons retrouvé la même ambiance délicieuse, paisible ici. Nous sommes restés 6 nuits. L'architecture, la végétation et la piscine sont superbes et donnent à cet endroit un charme exceptionnel. Notre chambre double au rez-de-chaussée était grande, bien équipée, et confortable. A noter que les salles de bains sont ouvertes sur l'extérieur (un peu stressant pour les moustiques) mais c'est assez courant au Vietnam. Nguyen, qui nous a accueillis, s'est occupée pour nous de tout ce que nous lui demandions : cooking class, location de scooter, réservation de spectacles, bonnes adresses etc. Un pur bonheur. Seul petit défaut : l'hôtel est à 20mn à pied du centre, le retour de nuit était parfois un peu long. A mi-séjour, nous avons opté pour les vélos (à disposition) et c'était parfait (5-10mn). Définitivement nous adorons l'Orchid Garden et recommandons vraiment pour un séjour à Hoi An."

Stayed 3 nights at Villa Orchid Garden Riverside with my wife, 17 year old daughter and 13 year old son. Straight away Nguyen made us feel welcome and at home… the place has a homely, welcoming feel with a neat garden, orchids, pond and pool. Our villa was lovely and we all liked our outdoor shower. Nguyen was always available to help with recommendations for tailors, lantern shops, book restaurants and taxis. The location was a short taxi ride or cycle into the old town. If you’re after a quiet homely sanctuary to retreat to after a hot day of shopping or sight seeing in Hoian, this is the place to stay, you’ll love it!"

We stayed in an interconnecting room for 4 nights which was perfect for our family. The breakfast Banh Mi was the best I had in Vietnam, I had it each morning.

"We should have stayed longer!

The one disappointment is that we only stayed for three nights. For the price , it well exceeded our expectations. Comfortable, clean, tidy, pleasant surroundings, nice (little) pool. The staff were just right - very helpful but not pushy. Normally I avoid being pushed into tours "recommended" by staff, but the lady who checked us in was so pleasant we took up her suggestion for a cooking tour. All done for tourists, but very enjoyable and in retrospect she wouldn't have recommended something that wasn't good. In addition, our plans changed slightly as a consequence of a suggestion from another tourist and she reorganised us perfectly - providing us with a car and driver for the day, who then acted as a terrific tour guide for the day. The cost of this was not much more than the cost of the travel alone, and he took us somewhere on the coast which served squid which they bbq'd in front of us. Best breakfasts (very simple but lovely fruit, followed by very tasty Cao Lau) in the whole of our holiday. The only issue is that the hotel is not centrally located, which for some people could be a negative. For others it would be a positive because it was quiet, it was a nice walk along the river to the centre, and it was only $2 by taxi if you didn't want to walk. If I was to return to Vietnam, I'd spend a week here."

"Fabulous team and lovely place to stay

Right by the river and a short cycle (on bikes provided) - very comfortable- great breakfast- Lee and Wei and the team are sooo helpful and informative. We arrived late but still they offered us a bite to eat. Peaceful surroundings with lovely gardens and pool. We loved cycling into Hoi An along the river. Be aware there is construction nearby (as there is almost everywhere in this high growth country). A good choice for those who prefer to avoid the big hotels. Great for families as all the units are 2 rooms - excellent value for high quality."

"Charming place, walkable to town

Hubby and I spent 4 nights at this little hotel and would definitely stay here again. It is charming, with about 10 rooms, and is walkable to town in about 20 minutes, or you can borrow their bikes and make it faster. A taxi to town is less than $2 if needed. We loved our room with its separate sitting area and second bathroom. Everyone who works here is helpful and friendly, and the breakfasts are excellent! The hotel recommendations for tailors, as well as massage, were spot on. The style is casual, but the rooms are clean, and the location next to the river is quiet."

"Lovely Villa to visit

The staff were really friendly and helpful when it cqme to recommending places to visit. The rooms were spacious and comffy, and you can use the free hotel bikes to cycle around the city to eat or to see the beautiful paddy fields. A eux seuls ils ont su inventer un nouveau style d’hôtellerie. Ici, on ne vient pas dormir dans une chambre, mais participer au bien-être que cette famille nous apporte. "Villa Orchid is an amazing Homestay and great place to stay in Hoi An. It’s outside the bustle of the Old Town in Hoi An. It takes about a 20min walk to get to the Old Town but the Homestay owner, Nguyen, gives you free Bikes to get there in less than 10 minutes. It’s perfect and much more quiet than the inner city. Nguyen is also such an amazing host! In our 2 week stay in Vietnam, she’s offered the best hospitality by far. Just ask her for advice for things to do and she might be able to get you a discount on tours and shows. The complementary breakfast is also some of the best food we have had - would highly recommend the banana pancake. The rooms are clean, tidy and absolutely beautiful. "My family and I just returned home after a wonderful time at this quaint and peaceful villa tucked at a corner along the riverside leading to the old town. What was supposed to be just a two night stay became a 5 night stay. Clean and spacious rooms with cold air conditioning. Quality daily breakfasts. Bikes that you can take for free to ride to the old town and around the paddy fields...no gear but no problem as Hoi An is flat. Nguyen and her crews were all very friendly especially Nguyen who speaks good English and takes time to interact with the guests and forthcoming with tips. Definitely recommend the place to others and will come back if ever going back to Hoi An.

"Had a pleasant stay overall. The host was extremely helpful arranging an airport pickup and our transportation to Hue. The staff are extremely friendly and extremely helpful with recommendations. We found the location perfect right in front of the water. They provide free bikes to take around the town and places of interest. Keep in mind this a semi-hotel stay. Would stay again for my next visit."

"We had such a wonderful time staying at Orchid Garden Villas. Anything that wasn’t quite right was rectified very quickly. The staff were so warm, welcoming, helpful. The breakfast included each morning was absolutely delicious. The pool area was inviting and beautiful, and amazing views from the accommodation. The accommodation is a 10-15min walk away from the hustle and bustle of Old Town, which we were glad to be slightly out of, as it is very busy down there. It was great to have free use of some bicycles, which we used to visit around. We really thank everyone for looking after us so well, especially Lee; we hope to see you all again soon!"

This is one of the few places I’ve stayed where the pictures actually don’t do it justice… it’s an incredibly gorgeous property with all the necessary amenities. "This was an excellent AirBnB. The entrance acts as a restaurant / store / jumping off point for your activities in Hoi An. They serve breakfast free of charge. You can pay for lunch/dinner that can be delivered to your room or eaten on the second floor with great views of the water. The units are tucked in and private with a shared pool / plaza in the center. The staff gave us great recommendations for tailors and leather shops. The location is on the water, ~5 minute bike ride to the center of town. Ideally placed where you’re not too close to the noise but close enough to easily get into town everyday."

"Had a nice three night stay in February. I liked the large space with livingroom and the a/c worked really well. I prefer to bike everywhere in Hoi An and the bikes were always available to use. I'd say 1.5K to central Hoi An. It's a very flat easy ride. Breakfast was lovely with a nice fruit platter and I loved my morning veggie omelet and crispy baguette."

"Wow, great stay. Very worth the price. Walking distance to the lantern / busy street of Hoi Ann. Provided bikes get you there in 10-15 minutes. Room was clean, property was beautiful and full of flowers and lanterns. We had a room above the pool and had a nice view from the balcony. Included breakfast was GREAT. All you can eat entrees, smoothies, and coffee. An absolute KEY feature to the stay. Made the price more than worth it. Go upstairs for a great view of the river. The kitchen there puts out some fantastic food. Highly recommend. "

"We always had quick helpful responses to our queries. The place is right on the river so best found from the river lane in front. It's peaceful,which is helpful as it can be busy in town. A nice pool to relax by in the morning. The apartment is spacious and kept very tidy by the staff. Lovely white linen and the topper matress was appreciated as the beds can be hard in Vietnam. Good shower and bath arrangement. When we arrived exhausted we were greeted with a freshly made hot banana pancake by Lee! That night we a bit tired to go out so to have a choice of evening food freshly cooked was amazing, you can eat in the lounge / kitchen in the apartment. The staff have been amazing ..outstanding..always full of good suggestions. Win suggested a good hairdressers and massage which matched expectations. Meanwhile Lee and Win helped with our complicated onward arrangements considering it was TET and we had the tandem. We think this place is one we would happpily return to. Thank you"

"If you had to choose only one city to visit in Vietnam choose Hoi An. Then book Khuong’s. It is at the quiet end of the Riverview walk in a lush compound of low buildings. Our en suite rooms were on the ground floor with a view of a sparkling, clean swimming pool. The staff greeted me by name throughout my 5 day stay. Every morning i ate breakfast (included in the price) on the 2nd floor pavilion overlooking the Bon River. The beginning of the old district is a15 minute stroll along the river. We dined at many of the restaurants along the way. I often hired a grabmotor taxi to return after a long day of sightseeing, shopping, taking cooking and lantern making classes. Don’t miss the remembrances photo gallery and museum. A special shout out to Le my concierge. She helped me plan my outings. I’ll be back."

"We had a lovely stay at the Orchid Garden. Khuong's communication was excellent & he was very helpful organizing our transportation to/from Danang airport. Nguyên greeted us warmly and got us oriented with great advice about things to see and do in Hoi An. She was also always proactive, available & attentive to our needs by text. Our 3rd level room was restful, spacious and quiet. The Orchid Garden is situated by the riverside, a bit removed from the bustle of the historic old town. We liked being in this quieter locale, a peaceful 15 minute stroll along the river brings you to the bridge & market at the town center. Also don't miss out on the tasty, fresh breakfasts provided on the patio each morning! Everyone on the staff at Orchid Garden was so kind & helpful. Highest recommendation.

"This place is an absolute gem! Hoi An is pretty hectic so it was lovely to come back to the peace and quiet of our bungalow. It is a good half hour walk into the old town but a taxi is only about £1 so there’s no stress. The bungalow was really very smart-a gorgeous comfy bed and an outdoor bathroom surrounded by plants as well as an indoor one. What really made our stay were Lee and Nguyen-savvy ladies who could not have been more helpful with arranging our treats (massage, lantern making and a cookery course) and helping us with onward plans. They are a true asset to the place. Thank you!
